Godrej Jersey, the dairy enterprise of Godrej Agrovet, has expanded milk procurement in Maharashtra and is eyeing export markets within the Center East for value-added merchandise like ghee.

Volumes to go up

The corporate has been focussing on growing its manufacturing and gross sales of value-added merchandise just like the UHT and flavoured milk and ghee amongst different merchandise. “We’re investing in increasing the UHT milk manufacturing by investing ₹20 crore which is able to improve our capability by about 4 instances,” he added.
Godrej Jersey can also be exploring choices to export value-added merchandise reminiscent of ghee to abroad markets. “We are trying to export ghee to markets like Maldives, Dubai and UAE amongst others. It’s a nice market and we’re catering to the Indian diaspora in these markets that don’t produce ghee. The costs are a lot increased there,” Suri added.
