(Reuters) -Australia’s Woolworths Group stated on Tuesday that Chairman Gordon Cairns would retire in October after seven years within the position.
Lengthy-standing non-executive director Scott Perkins will succeed Cairns on the nation’s largest grocery store chain operator.
Cairns, who gave up a fifth of his board charge when Woolworths confronted a wage scandal in 2019, plans to step down after the group’s annual common assembly on Oct. 26.
