After months of attempting to succeed in a deal, leaders of the Texas Senate and Home introduced proposed laws for property tax reduction on Monday.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and Home Speaker Dade Phelan launched a joint assertion detailing the next proposed laws:
• Over $12 billion might be spent on decreasing the college property tax price for all owners and enterprise properties.
• Each home-owner who homesteads their residence (about 5.7 million owners) will get a $100,000 homestead exemption.
